Mary presents a program of mixed music and talk, highlighting what’s happening this week in our local op shops. There are two in Mount Beauty, run by a Hospital auxiliary and the Uniting Church, and one in Bright over two sites supporting hospital and health-related services in the Upper Ovens. Mary regularly interviews a volunteer from the Op Shops in our broadcast area, to encourage community members to donate their pre-loved goods, put their hand up to become a volunteer or simply come in and shop, as profits go to towards helping others in the community.

Mary Pike is a dedicated Alpine FM presenter and the voice behind Op Shop Hour, Classic Potpourri, Strike Up The Band, and Wednesday Sunrise Breakfast. As Chair of the Program Panel, Mary plays a key role working with community members in shaping the station’s programming direction, ensuring it remains vibrant, high-quality, and connected to the community. Her passion for radio and commitment to local engagement are at the heart of everything she does on and off the air.
