On Friday 29th January 2021, Alpine Radio announced station volunteer and presenter Mary Pike, as the Warwick Randall Award winner for 2020.

The Warwick Randall Award recognises a volunteer who has made a significant contribution to the station and this has positively affected the station and, as a result, the wider community in the last 12 months.

Mary has made an outstanding contribution to Alpine Radio over the past year, which has gone above and beyond what we could ever have hoped for.  In such a daunting year as it was, Mary was always keen to be involved in all aspects of the station, and helped contribute to our advancement as a station, even during the toughest of times.  We all thank you for your efforts Mary, you are so deserving of the acknowledgement and reward.

The evening was also a special tribute to Nick Brown, who is leaving the valley to return to his homeland of Adelaide. Thank you to everybody that came along to Nick’s farewell.  It was a fantastic night, and the perfect way to say goodbye to such a valued member of the Alpine Radio community.  We will all miss you Nick.

The evening was a great success thanks to the Alpine Radio team and our hosts at the Settlers Tavern in Tawonga South.

Congratulations again to Mary and farewell to Nick, we wish you well.
