Alpine Radio held its first outside broadcast for 2022 live from Tavare Park at the Harrietville Bush Market on Sunday 9th January. Tavare Park is in the heart of Harrietville, alongside the Ovens River. It is located near the Pioneer Park Museum and toilets.

The Harrietville Bush Market is proudly hosted by Harrietville Historical Society twice a year on the first Sunday in January and on Easter Sunday.

Browse the many stalls and you will find something perfect to take home: craft, clothing, produce and your favourite trash and treasurers. You won’t go hungry as local producers serve up great food and coffee. Don’t forget the sausage sizzle!

Outside broadcasts are a great way for community radio stations like Alpine Radio to connect with the community.

Thanks to volunteers Ken Halse, Michael Ahearn, Helen & Noel McDougall, Caitlin Frawley, Greg Lee, Leigh Roy Martin, Vivienne & Brian Rochford and Linda Parkinson for helping out on the day.
