Craig McTaggart

Craig started life in Melbourne, born at the beginning of the space age. A fifth-generation Melburnian with family origins dating back to the 1850s, his great-great-grandfather repaired the boilers on HMAS *Cerberus*, Victoria’s first warship.

Craig lived in Mount Beauty during the 1970s before returning to Melbourne to further his education. This was followed by careers in science, self-employment in horticulture, a decade in the metal trades, 25 years as a registered nurse, and finally work with a private cancer charity.

In retirement, Craig moved to Bright and now volunteers with the Tawonga Red Cross, Mount Beauty Neighbourhood Centre and Alpine FM.

Craig is a strong advocate for better health through improved nutrition, growing your own food, and organ and blood donation.

He also has a lifelong love of learning, particularly astronomy. *To The Stars and Back* is a natural outlet to explore and share the latest fascinating developments in our understanding of the universe.
